An EP from The Wali Sanga featuring new and mainstay collaborators. The two core songs ("More Than That" and "Sound Unheard") were created first. Then, the stems of those tracks were distributed to various produces to create commissioned remixes. Those tracks fill out the EP creating a soundscape that stacks the blocks of the music into new creations. Build it up. Tear it down. Make something new.

The project represents the most profound transition in my life. Pieces of music I composed before my son was born, produced while he was an infant and released to the world as he’s learning to walk (and soon run.) Like all babies he stacks blocks. And loves to knock ‘em down, of course. But I realized as I watched him do it, that’s EXACTLY what I do with my music.

For the artwork, Max Schieble created ‘blocks’ that correlate to my inner psyche and my outward lived experience. From biking around NYC with a spliff in my mouth, walking my doodle 3x a day to grabbing snacks at my favorite deli.
